EXPLORER LOG 01 — MERIDIAN REGION

On initial exploration, the Meridian Region appears to be quite old, even ancient. As this sector of space is previously unexplored, the age of the sector is currently impossible to verify. Fragmentation and fossilization of many planetary bodies shows little evidence of recent geological activity.
The first observed star in the system has been designated Meridian and the system surrounding it the Meridian System. Initial images seem to reveal several unusual planetary bodies. Unlike anything in the known world, these planetary bodies seem to be composed of organic, mineral, and crystalline structures. The expedition is continuing to explore.
