The Meridian System
Preliminary Survey Chart
The chart above represents the current known structure of the Meridian System, a small and unusually ancient stellar system currently under investigation by the Atlas of Uncharted Worlds expedition.
At its center lies Meridian, a quiet yellow star whose stable output appears to have allowed many small planetary bodies to survive for immense spans of time. Unlike younger systems dominated by large gas giants, the Meridian System is populated primarily by minor worlds, fragments, and geological remnants.
Only a portion of the system has been mapped so far.
Several bodies have already been catalogued:
Testa
An ancient world marked by layered terrain resembling mineralized shell formations. Surface features suggest long periods of erosion and geological quiet.
Ferrum?
A rust-colored body currently under investigation. Early observations indicate iron-rich terrain, though its exact classification remains uncertain.
Lignum
A strange world whose surface appears fibrous and striated, resembling fossilized wood grain on a planetary scale.
Glacera
A distant outer world dominated by fractured ice plains and reflective crystalline formations.
Between the inner and outer regions of the system lies the Fragment Belt, a scattered field of mineral debris believed to be the remnants of a much larger planetary body that may have broken apart long ago.
Beyond the known worlds, several uncatalogued objects have been detected. Their nature remains unknown.
Exploration continues.
The Meridian System remains only partially charted. Further observations are ongoing.
